The gang of four formed the SDP as a result of leaving the labour party. They then merged with the Liberals who then created the Liberal democrats. They ended up having 8 seats in the last election! The new split and new party should be called the Gravy Train party. Those who don't like the present democratically elected leader like Chuka Umuna, would want to leave just in case they lose the current gravy train!!!
